Description

Palarasul has long been renowned for being one of the most delightful and spiritually refreshing types of coffee in Vanuatu. Palarasul, from the north of the country, is one of the three favorite varieties eaten in Vanuatu's nakamala (kava bar). Unlike the other two (Borogu and Melo Melo), it is much harder to find, partly because it is harder to grow and partly because almost everything is consumed in the area where it has been grown for generations. Its obvious attraction is that it is like a perfect nakamal kava: smooth, creamy, with a clearly euphoric and pleasant character. Easy to drink and suitable for relaxed socialization, creative thinking, and alleviation of mental fatigue. In our opinion, this is probably the most enjoyable of the three varieties mentioned, which are popular among the Vanuatu kava bars. This is supported by science, as Palarasul has a higher ratio of cavain and dihydromethylhydrine than most varieties found in Vanuatu. Its texture is creamy after preparation, with a slightly cashewy and grassy taste, with a relatively slight bitterness and a slightly spicy aftertaste.

Place of Origin: Vanuatu (Santo)
