PAR falls within similar values as the spectrum of light perceived by humans (~ 400nm-700nm), however, different segments are utilized differently within the PAR range, depending on the plant species and the stage of plant development. The most useful spectra of PAR are the blue radiation range from 400nm to 490nm and the red wavelength range from 580nm to 700nm.
