Description

The ADWA pH measuring probe (for ECO209 pH monitor) has a replaceable electrode / probe, which helps to eliminate incorrect values. During plant cultivation, reliable values are needed to determine the exact pH and EC value of the nutrient solutions, so that the plants are as healthy as possible and bring a high yield.

Main features

  • combined pH electrode.
  • internal reference electrode: double transition Ag/AgCl
  • electrolyte: gel
  • max. pressure: 2 bar
  • limit values: pH: 0-13, T: 0-80 oC
  • built-in temperature sensor: none
  • cover material: polyether imide (PEI-epoxy)
  • cable: coaxial cable 1 m, with BNC connector

It can be used for the following devices

Usage
Two vessels must be used for calibration. Both should be filled with a calibration solution of the same value, but the first container is only for rinsing the probe, the actual calibration should be done in the second container with the already rinsed probe. Always use a fresh solution for calibration. (This can be ensured, e.g., with sachet solutions for one-time calibration.) If the instrument used allows the use of calibration solutions with multiple values, it is advisable to use solutions with values close to the concentration of the measured sample. An EC meter does not need to be calibrated as often as a pH electrode, but regular inspection is important as changes in probe condition and aging can be compensated for by calibration.

ATTENTION!

Never immerse the probe in highly concentrated acid or alkali! (E.g. undiluted pH minus liquid)
Never use the device to test hot liquids, as this can damage the probe!
A possible bubble in the probe can also be caused by the probe being exposed to high temperatures. The air bubble itself does not cause a problem, because it rises up during measurement, so it stays away from the sensor part.
