The Boveda two way humidity control pack protects sugars and oils from fluctuating humidity. The Boveda pack works on the principle of reverse osmosis, with the membrane only releasing pure water vapor. It consists of a specially formulated solution saturated with pure water and natural salt.

Can the Boveda humidity control package be recharged?

If you are looking for optimal protection, Boveda recommends that you do not top up your exhausted Boveda packages.
Why? Mainly because Boveda no longer achieves accurate accuracy. Using rehydrated Boveda means that there is a risk of damaging the products you are trying to protect due to mold or extreme fluctuations in humidity. In addition, depleted packages may occasionally contain sharp crystalline salt residues that can penetrate the inner membrane of the package and cause leakage.

How can I store Boveda that I am not using?

If you have purchased a custom Boveda package, it will be sold sealed inside a transparent, protective cover, ie until you open it, it can be stored for two years without any special storage procedure. Only remove the packaging when you are ready to use the package. Boveda humidity control packs can be stored for two years in their original packaging.

When can I replace my Bovedam?

We recommend that you write down the date you started using Boveda so that in 2-6 months, you will know that it is time to replace it. Please note that the hardening of the corners is normal and part of the process of use- Boveda can be used for 2-6 months, depending on the conditions of use.
