Description

Milwaukee pH calibration fluid (4.01 / 7.01 / 10.01) is a solution for calibrating and adjusting household and horticultural pH meters. The pH meters must be calibrated regularly, failing which the device may show incorrect values. Weekly calibration is recommended for regular daily use. The EC calibration solution is required for EC measuring instruments.

Use
The meter should be placed in the appropriate pH solution, which measures the potential formed between the pH and reference electrodes and saves its value in its memory. The electrodes are then placed in a solution of a different pH and the potential is measured again and stored in memory. From these 2 measurements, the instrument can already calculate the pH of the solution from the potential measured in any other solution. Buffer solutions with known pH values ​​(eg pH 4.01, pH 6.86, pH 9.18) should be used for calibration. For accurate measurements, a calibration of at least 2 points must be performed. Most horticultural pH measurements are made between pH 5-7, so it is recommended to perform the calibration with buffers with pH = 6.86 and pH = 4.01.
