The Selecta wooden-aluminum drinking cup for yerba mate tea is a handmade yerba mate mug made of Palo Santo wood and covered with aluminum, which is simple and ideal for everyday use. Each piece is unique because it is handmade. Yerba mate drunk from such a vessel takes on a completely new taste thanks to the aromatic resin. We offer two types of drinking bowls: traditional design and special design. The special design has special holes on the top of the container into which the water flow is directed. These channels allow the water to flow down the inner wall of the container and reach the bottom.

Palo Santo wood comes from the Guaiacum officinale tree, which only grows in the coastal areas of Central and South America. Due to extensive logging, the occurrence of this tree is limited, and the resources of Guaiacum officinale can currently only be used with great care. The Guaiacum officinale tree is called the sacred tree, Palo Santo, for a reason, as it has extraordinary properties. It is a particularly strong material, which makes it extremely durable. It is also characterized by a high resin content (up to 30%), which was used by indigenous tribes in medicine. Due to this property, this tree has been called the tree of life. Regular mate drinkers especially like to drink yerba mate tea from a Palo Santo mug, and its more pleasant taste and aroma.

Note
Due to changes in humidity, small cracks may occasionally appear on the wood, but thanks to the metal casing, this is not a problem.
